Drawing I

The following pieces were created while I was in Christine Conley's Drawing I class during the spring of 2010.  My favorite aspect of this class was the idea of using lines to show form and volume rather than shading.  Working with this technique allowed me to develop my own style and create better drawings.

Final Project.  29 1/2'' x 18 1/2''.  Graphite on Styrene.  May 2010.

The above piece is my final project from Drawing 1.  I constructed the composition from various advertisements that I found in different magazines.  I used these images to form a collage that I then drew on styrene board.
